The Long Blink

They say a lot of things that may or not be true
Like ‘life flies by in the blink of an eye’
And that makes me sigh because I
just laid my eyes on beautiful you.

When I reached out my hand, you held it in yours
My heart started knocking and there was no stopping
The locks from just popping off the bottom and top, it
pounded so hard it broke through Love’s door.

When Beauty took me captive, I could finally see
The Love inside I tried to hide was, in fact, the Master Key
And if I give it a little twist, just like this -
And simply turn one hundred eighty degrees...
Lo and behold! What do you know? I am Free!
