Oh, That Stain

Forgiveness
is the final enemy, riddle, mountain
that must be defeated, solved, conquered
to experience true Love.

Sure, there is the sensual love
of the flesh and the feelings;
flights of fancy of good fortune and joy,
but love - ah! true Love cannot be known

for that smallest speck of hate still held in your heart;
that smallest dot of dust is more than enough
to stain the dress of Purity
who turns her eyes in shame.
