The Value of Cut Flowers (I Made Myself the Judge)

I made myself the Judge
And gloried in my power.
The pros and cons of Love,
The value of cut flowers:

Pretty for the moment
But the future’s doomed
Unless I don’t inhale
This beautiful perfume.

Now it lives forever
Embedded in my Soul.
Is what fades good or bad?
Who am I to know?

I made myself the Judge
And gloried in my power
Until I had to judge
How I spent my hours.

I made myself the Judge
And gloried in my ways
Until I had to judge
How I spent my days.

I made myself the Judge
And gloried in my might
Until I had to judge
How I spent my life.
