God’ll (All Down Again)
Drunk, depressed,
There’s nothing left.
Either the bottle or God’ll
Take me tonight.
I prayed for a way
But what could I say?
Who am I to have the right
To get me a God?
I’m just a slob.
I’ve cursed and I've mocked
Without end.
So, fuck it! I’ll chug it
All down again,
And roll the dice with falling asleep.
I prayed for a way,
What could I say?
Is there even a word?
What is that prayer
That some people pray...
Will my slurred mumble prayer be heard?
Are these even the words...
“...the Lord...my Soul...to keep.”?
